Survival Cord : The Ultimate 550 Paracord! by Sensible Prepper

Guys, I'm a big fan of peer cordon. In fact, I have a video showing multiple uses with pair cord and I mean, this is one of those universal things that most preppers have. It's just something that you can use for so many different tasks. And it's proven, I mean, five 50 cord. This is the seven strands, and it's really important to get the correct strength on your pair cord. But recently I was introduced to survival cord and this is a seven strand is five 50 cord it's up to mil spec. In fact, it exceeds mil spec and there are some hidden features with this that make standard pair cord almost obsolete. Now it comes in a really nice box. This is from Titan survival. And of course it says military specs, survival cord exceeds type three military pair, cord specs. It does come in different colors. This is what they call the black steel. And I think it was a good neutral color. And of course it does have this little Velcro sleeve around it to keep it all in place, which I liked. And that makes it really nice to keeping your pack here next to your standard five 50 cord. It's about the same. It has a little bit more rigidity to it. Then the pair cord, this seems to be, you know, it moves a lot, even though this is seven strand, but because of some hidden features in this, it's a little bit thicker or a little bit more rigid, I should say, now the ends are sealed. And from what I understand, this is actually 103 feet. So we're going to cut it and just take a look at what's inside cover. You can pull pretty easily. We're going to take a look and see what we've got. We've got the seven strands, a pair cord, and then you have this red strand, which is, let me see if I can find it. There it is. And that's just part of the seven chords of this nylon and a hair have some metal wire. This is 30 gauge. I believe it's 30 AWG wire, great for setting traps or snares. And also it can be used to repair things. But then here we have monofilament line and it's 25 tests. So, you know, you're going to be able to do some fishing if you need to put that in your fishing kit. And then we have some wax jute right here, and this is going to be just right for fire. Starting now, cut off a small section so we can pull out the different elements. Here's the wire. And of course we can pull all this out and you know, the seven strands can be used for different things anyway. So really guys give you a lot of options and we have the monofilament line right there. Okay. We got our wax Jude here. We're going to try it out. Here we go. Good stuff. It's a little bit windy, but I think we're going to have some fire starting capability. Just let it burn right up the line. We're going to use the Monofilament line. See if we can pick up this target. So I think if you have a fish that weighs this much, you're doing good for dinner. Now we've got some of this wire. I think this may not make it. Yep. It's starting to slide, but it definitely, there we go. I think it mainly at the piece was cut by the metal. This is really thin wire. So I'm actually impressed now for the a hundred foot weight, 10.8 ounces, regular pair cord 8.4 ounces. So it's just a little bit heavier when it comes to sealing up your survival cord. Just curious with those extra elements in there. Yep. It's sales up really well. Then when you want to pack it away, there's throwing the strap. I really like that. And then you got survival cord right here on the Velcro strap. And so, you know, this is the survival cord. Now we do have a video just demonstrating a lot of the different uses of five 50 pair of cord and a I'll have it down in the description below. You can check it out, but this stuff is just great. I love the added features with the fire starting capability, being able to, you know, make snares very easily with the wire and then with the fishing line, that definitely gives you a lot of advantages. And yet you still have all the advantages of having standard pair of cord. And actually it's stronger. Now pick this up on eBay for, I think it was $35 and 62 cent. It's definitely more expensive than your regular pair cord. But with the added features, I really feel like it's worth the extra money guys.
