How To Make a Paracord Hair Band

Learn how to make a paracord hair band in this instructional video. Get the women and girls in your life interested in paracord projects by teaching them how to make a paracord hair band.

Making a headband with paracord is so easy and cheap you will wonder why you haven’t been making your own. You can get a ten pack of the metal headbands for less than $5 online. So why spend over $5 for a pack of three from the store, when you can make your own for less than $1 each?

All you will need to get started is some metal headbands, SurvivorCord or WarriorCord, scissors, and a lighter. Start with a little more than 1’ of paracord. Cut both ends open and remove the inner strands. Work the headband into the gutted paracord. Once the headband is inside of the paracord cut the remaining ends. You want the paracord to hang over the end of the headband just a little. Melt the paracord ends closed and to the end of the headband.

That’s basically all there is to it. You could get creative and do different types of weaves over the top of the headband, using different colors. Maybe even add some beads.
