Creating a Paracord Survival Bracelet

Quick Video Summary

This is a simple tutorial on creating a paracord survival bracelet. This bracelet can definitely see you through some tough times!

Creating a Paracord Survival Bracelet

Is this the first time you hear of a paracord survival bracelet? The concept sounds hard to believe? You doubt that something made by paracord could look cool enough to pull off as a bracelet?

Well, be prepared to be amazed. Here is a guide to creating a paracord survival bracelet. This can help you get through an emergency where there is no other way to be safe. Creating a paracord survival bracelet is the easiest thing to do!

For this tutorial, you would need two different colors of paracord and a small buckle.

  1. Take six feet of each color. You wouldn’t need all this length, but for now, let it be. Different colors add to the awesome look of your bracelet. You can even opt for designs or patterns on the colors, like black rings on green paracord. Let us say we chose yellow and green for the sake of this tutorial.
  2. Fuse the ends together on one side.
  3. Hold the two loose ends of different colors together.
  4. Take a buckle and push the two ends of paracord through the top of the buckle.
  5. Open up the loop formed by the buckle and the fused ends, and pass the loose ends through it.
  6. Pull it hard enough to tighten the knot created at the buckle.
  7. Run your hand through the length of the cord to iron any twists and turns out.
  8. Slip the loose ends from the other side of the buckle.
  9. You would get a loop in shape of a bracelet (two loops of each color).
  10. Open the buckle. On the open end side, push the yellow cord on one side (left) and the green cord on another (right), holding the two ends of the buckle.
  11. Measure the distance between the two ends of the buckle (neglecting the spikes), and adjust it accordingly to the size that fits you comfortably.
  12. Let us make the first loop. It will be a single loop. Simply make a loop with the yellow cord and pass it to the right side. Pass the green cord through this loop and slide the green cord to the left. This is the base knot.
  13. Now you need to start tying the ‘S’ loops. The first thing to make sure is that after each loop, yellow stays on the left and green on the right.
  14. Create a first ‘S’ Loop with the yellow cord. To make an S loop, twist the yellow cord and make two circular loops on either side.
  15. Slide the green cord over the two yellow ones and pass it through the yellow loop on the left from behind. Stretch it to tighten it.
  16. Repeat step 12 to 14 with the green cord instead of yellow. Keep doing this alternatively with yellow and green cords throughout the length of the bracelet.
  17. Tie a single loop knot as in step 11.
  18. Cut off the extra length of the cord, and melt the ends of the loose strings on the bracelet to stick them to the bracelet. Smooth it out neatly.

You've just created a simple paracord survival bracelet. Now take it to the next level by using TITAN's patented SurvivorCord. It'll be cool, trendy, and useful in times of need.
